The RM2VT dual-actuator motorized damper is a circular damper for shutting off a branch duct in a ventilation or air conditioning network. 

Electrical power to the damper is supplied by two 2 cables with a flip switch.

A timing control (PLC or any other suitable system) is required on the power supply to provide a one-minute

electrical impulse for opening or closing the damper (see electrical connections).

The dual-cylinder RM2VT therefore draws no power in the open or closed position.

The RM2VT dual-actuator, dual flowrate damper is a circular damper for regulating airfow through the branch duct of a ventilation or air conditioning network in full or trickle mode.

The damper is adaptable to all types of circular ducting from 100–200mm diameter. It must be kept easily accessible for maintenance.

The ducts are fitted directly onto the metal connection pieces, without encroaching on the plastic section of the damper. 


The assembly is made airtight with sealing compound, adhesive tape, or collars, depending on the type of duct.

Observe the airflow direction indication on the damper. 



Do not subject the unit to extended periods of high humidity and never allow the relative humidity to exceed 90%.

The cables are connected to control housings mounted on the thermal actuators.

Operation: 

The damper is fully opened by applying electrical power to actuator V1 for one minute (diagram 1), after which the power is released (diagram 2).

The damper is fully closed by applying electrical power to actuator V2 for one minute (diagram 3), after which the power is released (diagram 4).

Power must remain off for at least five 5 minutes between opening and closing of the flap. 

The only time there is electrical power to the damper, therefore, is during opening or closing. 

For safety protection, provide a 1A phase+neutral circuit breaker.

Before undertaking any work on the dampers, isolate them electrically at the main switchboard.




The flap position is shown by an indicator on the spindle:

closed position (  ) or open position (  ).

The RM2VT dual-actuator, dual-flowrate motorized damper for offices is used to modulate ventilation in full or trickle mode as determined by a valve controlled by two thermal actuators.

In the closed position, a solid-plate damper fitted with a Ø80mm or Ø100mm regulator controls the trickle flowrate.

In the open position, a flow regulator upstream of the damper controls the nominal flow rate.

The flow regulators provide a predetermined airflow in a pressure range of 50–250Pa for the minimum flow and 60–250Pa for the maximum flow.
