RDR adjustable flow regulators are made from class MI plastic suitable for use at temperatures up to 60°C.

They can be set to the required flowrate in-situ to provide a predetermined airflow in a pressure range of 50–250 Pascals. 

The flow regulator fits directly inside a vertical or horizontal duct. For horizontal ducts ensure the bottom (“BAS”) direction indicated on the front of the regulator faces downward. A lip seal ensures air tightness.

Do not twist, push, or otherwise force the moving flap (the regulating element) when fitting. Compliance with the airflow direction indicated on the adapter is vital.


When the regulator is used in conjunction with an air diffusion vent, the distance between the vent and regulator must be at least equal to the duct diameter for air extraction and at least three times the duct diameter for air supply.

The  regulators are characterized by their acoustic power level Lw in dB(A).

The graphs below show the extraction flowrate in m³/hour of the RDR Ø80mm as a function of the pressure head in Pascals (regulation over a pressure range of 50–250Pa).

The indicated values are averages within a variance of plus or minus 3m³/hour.


Before fitting the regulator, the flowrate must be calibrated: 

Slacken off the locking screw on the flow regulation module with a Torx No.10 screwdriver

Align the setpoint marking (on the left or right of the module) with the required flowrate

Tighten the locking screw on the flow regulation module

 

Intermediate flowrates are possible by aligning the setpoint marking between graduations on the regulator.

The flow regulator must be kept accessible for cleaning and maintenance.
