The CTM roof cowl is used on air intakes or discharges in installations using forced ventilation, notably single and dual flowrate systems, domestic kitchen hoods.

It can be used on practically every type of tile or slate roof covering and provides excellent weather-tightness.

 

- Unclip the weather cowl  from the sleeve.

- Shape the lead sheet by moulding it to the reliefs while avoiding the crimped edges.

- For tile roofs, lay shims in the direction of the battens to support the lead sheet at  and .


- Install the weather cowl with the airflow perpendicular to the roof slope (see figure opposite).

The metal sheath  for connection to the ventilation duct is trapped in the mouldable lead sheet  to form the weather seal.

The weather cowl  is removabe to facilitate installation and maintenance. The protective grilles prevent birds and rodents from entering the system.
