The RMVT motorized damper is a circular damper for shutting off a branch duct in a ventilation or air conditioning network. The damper can optionally be fitted with a limit switch to enable operation of an “open” indicator light.

The damper is adaptable to all types of circular ducting from 100–200mm diameter. It must be kept easily accessible for maintenance.


The ducts are fitted directly onto the metal connection pieces, without encroaching on the plastic section of the damper. The assembly is made airtight with sealing compound, adhesive tape, or collars, depending on the type of duct.


Observe the airflow direction indication on the damper. 


 
Do not subject the unit to extended periods of high humidity and never allow the relative humidity to exceed 90%.

- Maximum time under power-on: 12 hours continuous

The graph oppposite shows the maximum number of cycles with respect to the continuous power-on time of the motorized damper. Example: For a continuous power-on time of 12 hours, the number of cycles is approximately 2500.

Once the cover is removed, the cable can be threaded through the cable way in the motor mounting plate, with the wires connected to the junction box.

The limit switch enables operation of a connected power-on indicator light.

For safety protection, provide a 1A phase + neutral circuit breaker.

Before undertaking any work on the dampers, isolate them electrically at the main switchboard.
